We even have a Mini Sticks morning for years 1\/2 and pre-school.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Information packs and registration forms are sent directly to K\u0101piti Coast schools. However, we welcome all schools. Email juniors@kapitihockey.org.nz for an information pack.<\/p>\n<p>If a school is unable to field a full team, the club will put together a blended team to ensure all children who want to play are able to play.<\/p>\n<p>Each league is played on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tuesday afternoons for years 7 and 8<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday afternoons for years 5 and 6<\/li>\n<li>Sunday mornings (6-a-side) for years 3 and 4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The first two weeks of the season will be player, coach and umpire development sessions.<\/p>\n<h2>Each player needs their own equipment<\/h2>\n<p>To play the game of hockey, each player will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a mouthguard<\/li>\n<li>a pair of shinguards<\/li>\n<li>a hockey stick<\/li>\n<li>Sports shoes (no cleats)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If a player does not have a stick, we have some that can be borrowed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At K\u0101piti Coast Hockey Club, children in school years 3\/4, 5\/6 and 7\/8 can play hockey for their school in the K\u0101piti inter-school league.
