MX Hockey is back!
MX training sessions starting on Tuesday 2nd March
The session timing for each age group sessions is:
- Year 5/6 4.00 – 5.00 pm
- Year 7/8 5.15 – 6.15 pm
- College/Adults 6.30 – 8.00 pm
We still have space for players if still keen. The full 5 week session is $90 for both the Year 5/6 & 7/8’s and $110 for college and adult players if you haven’t paid yet you will be invoiced shortly.

The following is a short bio for each of the MX Hockey Coaches who all come with great experience:
William Hannah
William has been a part of the Hutt United Premier 1 Men’s team for the last 2-3 years, and represented Wellington at the National Senior Tournament from 2016-2019
Coaching-wise, William was the head coach of St Partick’s Town for two years, and assistant for one year prior to that
William works at Sport Wellington day to day, in both their community sport and events teams
Jordy Cohen
Jordy is one of the rising stars in Wellington, having moved here for uni in 2018
Jordy plays for Dalefield in the Premier Men’s competition and has played NHL for Capital since 2018
Recently, Jordy has been selected in the wider Black Sticks training quad and has been a member of the Junior Black Sticks for the last two years
Having learnt from the best, and being amongst the current national programme, Jordy has a great depth of knowledge to tap into
Georgie Peterson
Georgie currently plays for the Hutt Premier 1 Women’s team, and has represented Capital through U18, U21 and National Senior levels
Georgie has been with us at MX for three years, and was one of our coaches at the Kapiti Pre-Season sessions last year
We’re lucky to have Georgie as she’s great with the kids, especially those who are younger or less confident
We may also have Lochie Paton fill in for Jordy for one or two weeks, as Jordy may have to travel to Auckland. Lochie is also part of the wider National Squad, has been a Junior Black Stick, and is a former Wellington Hockey Men’s player of the year.
